Microwave Photonics GmbH (MWP) is now a member of the European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC).
Microwave Photonics has taken the next big step by becoming a member of EPIC. “In less than one year since Microwave Photonics was founded, the size of our organization has grown,” says MWP CEO Dr. Andreas Stöhr.“ To expand this success, we have further extended our regional facilities and our R&D department. Now, the time has come to join the best-known photonics consortium in Europe to support sustainable development of European industrial and academic organizations.”
With currently more than 550 members, EPIC is the largest industrial network in photonics in Europe. EPIC provides its members an insight into many photonic technologies. These are, e.g., imaging, OLEDs, smart lighting, LEDs, lasers, optical components and fibers, photonic integrated circuits (PICs), III-V and silicon photonics, biophotonics, medical engineering, sensors, automotive engineering, and others. Becoming member of the EPIC community, we gain access to the most comprehensive database in Europe and numerous leading events and exhibitions in the field of photonics.
The EPIC membership supports our future advancement. It will enable us to gain better insight into the photonics ecosystem to continue and enhance our growing business. Besides existing markets for photonic technologies, the EPIC membership gives us also an opportunity to reach out to emerging photonic markets.
